In 2008 when the unthinkable recession hit, my job was eliminated. My lifestyle of the past 25 years suddenly came to a screeching halt and I was forced to retire. After a year and half of sitting in front of the TV becoming unhappy, fat, dull and unfulfilled, my daughter suggested I quilt…… QUILT?! Where had I heard this before? Yes, life threw me a scrap and here I am quilting. I’ve never been happier or busier! I live in Marietta, just north of Atlanta, GA and have four adult daughters. Over the years I made the majority of their clothes as they were growing up, including a beautiful satin wedding dress and prom formal.
